Where else would you have nice tarmac and no road markings ;)

You were meant to come up here for a track day.

I've got a cream for that.

Speaking of cream... I just creamed myself.

Re: Merlin's 4G Track Lude - Finished, on the road, MOT'd, d

Post by Merlin » Mon Nov 11, 2013 10:37 am

I have ran the car for 250 miles now and she is ticking along fine, no oil or coolant leaks and the gearbox hasn't eaten itself yet  A few things though, 70mph is well over 4K rpm  which makes for a loud journey on the motorway, the diff is embarrassing in town due to the amount of noise it makes , and my latest visit to the wheel alignment place shows I have a problem. Other than that my water temp gauge has a wobbly earth on it that I need to fix.

The wheel alignment dude showed me I have a castor issue with the drivers wheel  The car does pull a little to the right. But he thinks it is due to a busted lower passenger ball joint which in turn has moved the passenger knuckle and anti roll bar. The anti roll bars I have wont take any jobby so they have transferred all the misalignment to the drivers side :( She is off to the garage at the end of this week to get a new ball joint fitted so hopefully that will sort it.

I think the busted ball joint is an overhang from when I had the radius rod nut failure on track.

Yeah I dont know who got more of a fright, me or Indigolemon

Once last thing. When the car was MOT'd it was weighed as well, it hit 1100kg. Last time it was weighed it was 1250kg (full interior + AC + blower system + spare tyre etc...).
