Yeah ive compared prelude vs atr shafts - only difference i can see is the spline/thread section on the outer cv joint is approx 5mm shorter overall on the atr ones. Inner cv joint looks identical. shaft looks to be the same length give or take a few mm.4thgenphil wrote:-in all seriousness, have you held them together and measured them @vanzep ?
I bought a job lot of H22 driveshafts - two of them are marked ATR.
If you look at listings on the web for aftermarket driveshafts they sometimes say can be used on any H22 prelude or accord

The drivers side shaft is same length as 4th gen and the passenger side looks to be marginally shorter - it may be that the intermediate shaft is longer but i dont have one here to compare

I do not think there is a difference in the intermediate shaft, this would make sense as the intermediate shaft bolts into the block and all non-ATTS H22 blocks are the same in this regard.
ATR - 44500S0A000 http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_ca ... ock_05=hcr
5th gen - 44500S0A000 http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_ca ... ock_05=hcr
4th gen - 44500SS0010 http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_ca ... ock_05=hcr
The ATR and 5th gen intermediate shaft has the exact same part number and the 4th gen one is similar enough to consider it the same (44500xxxxxx).
@Vanzep Can you measure the sealing ring diameter of the CV joint on all your shafts to see if this info is correct?
4th gen Prelude CV joint specs:
Internal teeth - 32
External teeth - 28
Sealing ring diameter - 60mm
Abs ring teeth - 50
ATR CV joint specs:
Internal teeth - 32
External teeth - 28
Sealing ring diameter - 64mm
Abs ring teeth - 50

i would if i could find my digital vernier calipers
would be impossible to measure with any accuracy without it
the prelude cv joint has a plastic ring on it that takes it from 60mm to 64mm - possibly
cv joint that i bought has 64mm dia on the spec - thats why i went for it as i know the 64.1mm is the hub dia
