I got that there are no rules, but why not just say Mornington Crescent and end the game? :?

I just read the Wikipedia entry for Mornington Crescent thanks to Nafe.

The game makes more sense than the original post.
Or less.

Either way, there's plenty of scope for lots of players. As a radio panel game, the humour comes from the participants' description of the moves and/or their reactions to them. Mentioning the titular location ends the game. Mentioning it here as part of the game will, I hope, close the thread. We can then all get cuddly with the scorer, lovely Samantha. (Unless, of course, Sven's wielding the crayons at that point.)

I haven't listened for a long time now - does Samantha still have her laser score board?

I don't know. I've missed it for a while now, too.
One of the best ones was when Samantha and Sven both turned up. They were too busy to bother with the game, intent on another type of scoring.
