Newbie H22a5 project
Newbie H22a5 project
Hi guys newbie here to the prelude community. Bought a2000 honda prelude 2.2 vti, i think the original engine was the red top 200bhp one but engine has now been replaced and replacment is h22a5 engine which i believe is 185bhp standard.
At the moment ive done the bodywork required and a colour change, and fitted a CAI and straight through stainless steel exhaust de catted.
I need some advice as i want to get my engine up to 240/250bhp. I know its not east but i can source all parts required as there is a big jap motor community where i am.
I've been told to fit ATR intake manifold and exhaust manifold, i think i already have the larger throttle body on my car as it was originally the 200bhp variant.
Is thos the right advice and what else could i do to get power? I've been told after this an ecu and map will get me going.
All advice is appreciated. Note i want to be naturally aspirated and not turbo'd. May go turbo in future.
Many thanks guys.

Re: Newbie H22a5 project
Forgot to mention i can also get my hands on the cylinder head with cams of an accord type r fairly cheap. Would this be recommended and worth it?
With all these mods would i reach 250bhp?

Wouldn't the lower compression pistons be better for boosting, such as with a turbo or supercharger? (genuine question)
Also lawman, I've seen somewhere on the selling pages, someone selling some top end components if you are really looking for 250 bhp
