New Custom Valve Cover Washers

These consist of:

M6 22mm countersunk aluminium washers - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261232272529 £4.75 + £1.50 P&P.
M6 20mm red rubber washers - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330942544580 £2.77.

I already had the 6mm metallic red capped nuts, purchased from Tegiwa Imports at JAE during September 2001 for £1 each.

You can get proper after market alternatives, but I find it difficult to justify spending between £20 - £25 on 8 washers!

Have you put any copper slip on the threads bud?

If anyone is thinking of copying this, don't do it!

It seems that the red rubber washers I used aren't up to the job. They can't handle the heat. They have started to crack already, so I've removed them and refitted my originals.
