PLM Tri-y exhaust manifold and downpipe

Post by nitin_s1 » Fri Jun 26, 2015 7:59 pm

This was bought from Crigal_bb6 and this was the add:

PLM tri-y header/ manifold. (hytec replica). One of the best on the market. Best performance mod i have ever bought for any car. Big bhp gains. Hardly used as my engine deveoped a nasty knock and i never got round to fitting it to my new prelude. Not sure if you can buy these in the UK anymore. £425 new. Offers? Looks much darker in photos. Would clean up easily.

Got this for £300.

 remind me... Front subframe needs notching slightly in order to fit this, that's all, right?
Provisional dibs please...

front subframe needs notched and your cat/decat needs to be extended to meet up plus a mating connector. Should have a connector pipe but it will have been used on car that it came off.

Yep good point newkid, should it have a donut seal and short pipe section back to the cat?
 and if so, does it match up with an fgk section for that part? If so, I am in business, even with it missing on nitins... ;) 8-)

Fgk wont match up as thats 2.36" wereas the plm is a true 2.5". Its easy made up by an exhaust place. Even with the short piece ud still need it mated up to cat/decat. If like my old one its going on a bb4 just have the center section extended doing away with cat/decat.

Already have a genuine TRM decat pipe available 8-) ;) :D so would need to get the section in between done.
nitin_s1 did that part not come from crigal? If not, @crigal_bb6 do you still have that piece?
If not, then as you say, I could get it made up.

Thanks.

Wurly, what's in the pic is in the sale.

I was going to fit this and get the rest of the exhaust made up so didn't research about the middle pipe bit.

Nitin dont worry about it. Even with that part as one end is blank an exhaust place would still be needed.
