Yeah I checked earlier. I can't recall what the Carbon ones were, but I don't think they were that much. The black non lockable ones were £14.95 delivered, and the black lockable ones were £17.95 delivered.

They weren't mistreated at all... They're just made of really shoddy plastic

You get what you pay for and all that.

I went through the same with the cheapos,4+ hrs at it and got 1 locked in,2nd snapped upon closing, gutted i was,i swapped back bonnets and went off to work that eve very peed!

Used the company again who swapped to Aerocatches minus the cheapos costing, never looked back.

I was told they had a few complaints of a bad batch

Interesting. I'm in talks with the sellers at the moment. I've asked for a full refund. I don't appear to be getting very far with them, but they have asked to see this thread as I had mentioned I had previously recommended them. Kind of shot that in the foot didn't I!

In the middle of it all I've suggested I possibly had one from a bad batch, as they say they've had no other complaints.

We'll see how it goes :?

Lets just say there was a huge nooooooooooooooo out of my garage when it happened,i waited months to fit the bonnet in between put offs and distractions and when that latch gave :bat:

I've had my hood open dozens of times with the Aero's and never had trouble, they fit in 90% to the copies cut mounts which helped, some of the tightening rivets needed a little more left or right widening but all good.

Do they not stock the Aeros?

Just credit up like did.

Yeah I realised the very subtle differences after I'd bought some Genuine Aero catch nutplates.

I've had a set of genuine Aerocatches on my 4th gen for about 5 years now. They don't get opened hugely often, but this is probably worse for them. Rarely opened on a car that's been stood for 5 years and they still open perfectly each time.

No, I don't believe these guys stock the genuine article. The guy I've been talking to is putting a case together to present to his manager and I'm to hear back within 48 hours :?

SURELY a full refund is justified. You bought something in good faith and it was not fit for purpose. What else is there to say?! :?:

That old line.

Refer them to the Sales of Goods act, any product that goes faulty within the first 6 months is deemed to have been so at point of sale. A faulty product is not deemed to be of a satisfactory quality and resultantly you are entitled to a full refund.
