Nah, not really. I had noticed a few people have been doing it recently. I guess it's just being adopted as a 'good idea' or 'best practise' now.

It's no problem, it's pretty standard practice to be fair. Can't expect people to hand over big money to some unknown guy without even knowing if he's got the goods. Fear not, I have the goods, and they are.. er. good. and forged. mmm

I understand, that does seem like an odd comment from somebody who's selling expensive stuff. However, I know I'm as honest as I can be (sometimes it gets me in trouble), and would prefer the wheels to be collected and inspected by the buyer before handing any money over.

Plus they can wrap them up in cashmere blankets and take them away safely, instead of me giving them to a courier who just so happens to be trying to beat his laptime around whatever ring road he's on at the time.

All good man, not aimed at you - was a dig at Nathan (hence the post above yours). He had an eBay experience recently, that resulted in money going out and no nice seats coming back his way

No, sadly and foolishly it went via bank transfer

Too many years of smooth transactions saw me naive this time

It's not concluded yet, but I'm not expecting to see anything back.
