I asked Nathan to measure his 5th gen trim. Thanks again for that, and here are the results :)

"The 5th gen is 78cm at the sides (if you square off the corners). They also disappear under the scuttle panel, so they are longer than that really. Then it's 112cm across the top.

The 4th gen is 79-80cm at the sides (to the ends) and 112cm across the top.

So it looks like they'd fit, but I obviously don't know about the clip/profile."

So I am ordering one :) Even if there's a small difference somewhere, 5th gen trim is soft rubber one, so it should adapt.

I wouldn't expect any problems fitting it across the top, but down the sides might be interesting because there's no 'channel' for a rubber to sit in.

Accross the top is where I would expect the issues :P .The 4th gen has a plastic channel with is bonded under the screen and the exterior trim clips into this, it may need removing to fit a rubber trim, unless the 5ths have the same thing?

Down the sides just a little bit of bonding material could be used to keep it in place, similarly to how the rear screen rubber is fitted.

The top channel is an interesting one...
The rubber bit you're talking about is there as original fitment, but doesn't feature on any of the parts diagrams/lists, so can't be renewed (as I discovered once I'd ripped mine out when stripping the UKDM to go off to the body shop) Once it's gone though, you are left with a pretty standard section for polyurethane bonding the new trim into.

The sides though have a wide gap between the glass and the 'A' pillar, with 'pegs' for the securing clips that hold the plastic screen surround. That's a big space with no natural 'channel' for the rubber or polyurethane to sit (to bond the rubber trim to) is my thinking - that's why I think there will be issues down the side rather than across the top.

Don't know if these are any good, but they're the same brand as in the link Newkid gave on the first page, but a better price ;-) ...
