Now to me (front end which looks ridiculous aside) that doesn't look right. There's too much "blend" between the extended arches and the body, so that it just looks fat. Whereas with the arch extenders from the OP you get a destinctive arch flare. Depending on the car and style depends whether filling over the rivets and blending them in with a small fillet all around works. If your car is seamless and smoothed/badgeless etc then blending works. If your car is rough and ready then rivets work.

For example I absolutely love this Rocket Bunny S13...

I'm not so keen, either, to be honest. I posted up the pic just to show that blended in arches are somehow more 'finished' than rivetted ones.

I always preferred the roundy way they did it in the old days:-

My only problem with that was that the rest of the car was so clean looking. It needed a bigger front lip and skirts and maybe even a spoiler to tie the arches in.

The arches themselves look good though. You need massive wheels!

The S13 looks great, as does the Mk1 Escort (though I don't like the rear arches on that particular one).
This S14 (less extreme but similar rivetted on stylee vain) looks awesome sauce;

I don't like the plastic arches stuck on Vlad's at all - the car looked sex before and the wide wheels look good, but the arch extensions just don't work on it at all, for me.
