How do you "clock" 5th gen mileage (For the right reasons)?

The point I thought I'd made in my opening post Mercutio

) was that the speedo already in the car isn't relevant to any part of the car at the moment anyway. It might as well already say 0 miles... or even 1,000,000 miles! But it could at least be relevant to the rebuild
