Yes! That's exactly what i have already, so will it fit in the spacesaver wheel, or is that a smaller one? :?

Nafe, that would be awesome, unless the LG courier service can help?? :?
I image they're all the same size as well.

Well I'm going to Japfest in 10 days, so if you can hold off until then and you know of someone closer to you that's going (if you're not) that could work ;-)

Here's another pic. Not the best, but you can see where the space-saver makes contact, so it gives you an idea of the space around it...

I have both types outside (space saver/full-size spare) so just went out to check.

To clear a few things up:
It's not as simple as facelift/pre-facelift. Both mine are pre-facelift, the JDM is space saver, the UKDM is full size.
So it's definitely: JDM = space saver as standard, UKDM = full size as standard.
Perhaps UKDM went space saver when they went facelift?

Bits that are exactly the same between space saver/full size;
  • The wheel arch liners
    The back seat liner
The bolt that secures the wheel down (just flip the washer over)
And the polystyrene tool holder from a full size definitely fits a space saver (just tried, didn't know that, means I now have another one for the 'want' list for the JDM!)

The boot floor liners are different - both the main section and the bit to the right hand side.
The recess area on the right hand side on the space saver type is separate to the main arch liner - doesn't look it and it is well attached to the main bit, but they do separate.

To convert:
  • Chuck away the polystyrene sides then either;
Trim down the main bit and the right hand bit of a full size floor to suit and remove the L brackets from the bottom of the right hand section that locate into the polystyrene bit you've removed.
Or if you want a pukka job
  • Just get both bits of the boot floor from a space saver lude (jozefsan probably has these?)

Wurly that's great, thanks! +rep :D

That was my thinking - maybe pick up a spacesaver boot floor, as mine has seen better days anyway. Now I know I can keep the rest 8-)

Yep, as Wurly states, my UKDM has different bits to the JDM's, never bothered to point it out to anyone. :?

Ok, pics added by popular request in another thread (not really, no-one asked but it makes me fell better to pretend it is...)

Arch liners and bulkhead trim covers are identical so no pics of them.
Tried to take pics of space saver and then the equivalent full size spare.

Complete guts of the full size floor

Same but with the right hand side polystyrene spacer removed from under the cover

Comparison of the space saver floor cover (bottom) full size (top)
Image
Full size is larger on the left hand side and has 2 folds in it.
(Ignore the extra slit/folding section you can see on the full size floor at the top - I had to cut the slit and make the extra folds to fit round the custom amp brackets in the boot of mine. The top folding section should be once piece instead of cut in the middle)

Space saver floor on top of the full size.

Only difference as you can see, is full size is bigger at the left. This is the bit you could trim off to make it fit a space saver floor. Downside to doing that rather than getting the 'pukka' space saver floor is that the hardboard wouldn't be 'sealed' on that edge so would be more prone to damp and the furry cover delaminating.

This is how the right hand side bit differs.

Pocket on the right hand side of the space saver floor.
Image
As mentioned earlier, this is attached to the arch liner on that side so it comes out as one piece, but it is a separate moulding that can be detached from the liner, so the liner is the same.

Same bit on the full size spare floor (the polystyrene spacer lifted out)

This shows the full size floor cover laid over the space saver pocket

This is new to me!! Mine doesn't appear to have the useful little handle.
I'll have to check to see whether I have the hole for it and post a 'Wanted' thread. :P
