That must have been, err... Fun?! :?
It has a small oil leak from the back of the block that needs sorted before it gets an MOT.
 not oil all over that shiny sparkly engine? :(
The new fluid I put in the gearbox was a bottle of Amsoil MTF, 2 fluid oz of Redline friction modifier, and a bottle of Silkolene BOA 80w-90 gearbox / LSD fluid.
:hurr: couldn't choose between them, so went for all of the options in one - I like your style... ;)

The break in procedure was actually worthwhile for me as I learnt the biting point, but yeah it was a bit monotonous driving the same bit for 30 mins.

Only a dribble of oil down the back of the block. I didn't do the greatest at painting that part any way

As for the weird mix of gear fluids; Honda boxes dislike thick oils. The Kaaz LSD doesn't like synthetic fluids. So I had to get a compromise.

The Kaaz fluid is mineral and 80W 90 which is way too thick (and expensive at £55 for 2L). Oil like Honda MTF and Amsoil MTF are approx 5W 30 but are fully synthetic. I substituted the Kaaz fluid for the Silkolene stuff as they were near identical and roughly went 50:50 with the heavy oil and the lighter Amsoil (plus some friction modifier).

When the Kaaz oil came out it was stinking! I think of the worst eggy fart your can imagine :puke: It had only been used for half an hour and done a mile or two.

Is the bonnet shut line at the front (by the wing) out because of the lifters at the back?

 It did need a wash.

The shut line is out because a previous owner had a small bump and bent something under the wing. It is something that will be sorted soon (I plan to get the car into a body shop).

It is more for preservation than anything else. If I don't get the rust sorted soon there wont be much worth saving.
