The dyno it is going on (the only SLS certificate giving dyno near me) is the same one as I went on before, the one that gave me a dodgy figure. At least I will be able to tell how much difference the new exhasut will have made

Wasn't Marc running a 2.5" with that engine? You'd have thought you would need a retune after if you're going for 3".Merlin wrote:Fingers crossed I don't need a retune after it. I am hopeful it wont as I have been running the car with a more restrictive exhaust than what it was originally tuned for but I will get it looked over when on the dyno this week.
I am now fairly sure that the last result was whp and not bhp, despite what the dyno sheet says. It is the only way it makes sense. No so pointless if it shows an increase over the last one.wurlycorner wrote:Oh god, so another pointless bit of paper coming your way then![]()
Will that work to your advantage though, if it under-reads the vtec again?
Yeah I am sure he was. I will deffo need a retune if I want to take full advantage of the 3" system. So long as there is no risk to the engine just now I wont be getting it retuned, A/F ratio will be getting checked on the dyno. Only if the dyno operator says that there is risk to the engine will I spend the time and money to fight to get it retuned before Sunday.NafemanNathan wrote:Wasn't Marc running a 2.5" with that engine?
