500 for both rear wheel bearing is rather steep...Don't blame you for not going back there. As both Nafe and Donald have suggested, I'd ask 2000 (maybe a little more?) to give the room to negotiate.

Good condition 5g though :-) although didn't the 99+ ludes come with a h22a8 (red rocker cover)?

Excellent, thank you guys for the advice. I am not too sure, its on a V reg and it has a black rocker cover.

Should be stamped with H22A8 near the gearbox sticker, it's obvious when you see it. That's what my estimate was based on, if it's an A5 then GLWTS.

I think it's the 189bhp version? Is A5 bad then?

Only reason I made the comment was because mine is on a T and that's a h22a8 :-)

Not necessarily. It could've been an auto to manual conversion. Or that something happened with the original motor and whoever replaced it with the closest they could find from a 5g (I believe the a8 is difficult to source).

Yeah look for the code, don't rely on the valve cover colour. Mine has an OEM black cover, but it's actually an H22a7 (From an Accord Type-R, so would have been red).
