I guess any other method is custom?
Yes mate.

You could even wire it up to come on when VTEC engages ;) ... Although I'd then change the writing to VTEC as well 8)

The high level brake light should come on when braking.
The alternative high level prelude light should come on with sidelights, is my understanding.

Or, if you're Lisa's bb1, the United and bulbs are there and intactz the wiring is original and intact/connected, but nothing happening...

Lisa's will have a brake light spoiler yes? If so its disconnected further back in the loom from where the high level plug is (can't remember exactly where). All to do with rules on brake lights, only one highlevel is allowed and your spoiler one is classed as that.

Yeah, hers does have the spoiler brake light, but it has the blue prelude light rather than a high level brake light, so that shouldn't be the reason from what I can work out :?
It's something I'll get round to looking into one day, but unfortunately plenty more things that need doing on her car first

Well since my car has a spoiler brake light, I'd have assumed then that the Prelude light connector would be wired to the tail lights.

But it's not, it's wired to the brake light circuit!

Easy enough to change I guess. Another job on the list!
