There all crap in that size. Ad08r are excellent tyres.

Maybe not the most cost effective way if they do fit, but is it maybe a safer bet to get just one, try it front and rear, and then fork out for the rest if you have no issues. You'll obviously loose less selling just one tyre on than four.

Problem is I already paid for my 235/40s. The 245/40 are the same price so I'll fit them and try them instead then you lot Wil all know.

A chap in the USA it's running 245/40 on the same spec wheels and looks like there is loads of room left. We will see soon enough.

That shouldn't be a problem, you'll be entitled to a full refund ;)

You obviously know the risks though :)

Well got the 245/40/17 Yokohama AD08r fitted to my Enkei RPF01 17x9 et45.

Fitted them to the car. The yanks say you can't fit these on the front without a spacer as the spokes fowl the caliper. Well Accord Type R Calipers are way slimmer and there is loads of room.
The rears looked too "sat" in the arches so I spaced them out 5mm and it just caught the rear inside metal edges by a mm.

Changed the spacer to a 3mm and it's fits perfectly. All 4 corners tuck under the arches with the natural camber curve. Rears has about 3mm of room and front roughly 5mm.
All arches are heavily rolled and pulled slightly, rear tabs cuts off.

Took the car for a drive after removing the rear tanabe roll bar for a stock one and the only place I'm rubbing is the n/s rear bumper from the tab area to about half way down. This Wil naturally wear away.

245/40/17 fits. And ad08s are a true 245tread and have square shoulders.

Win.

Pics maybe later.
