Thanks for the other comments.
I got round to finishing off the exhaust heat shield. The shield was full of pit marks, so I painted it with some highbuild primer, and a guide coat.
Then rubbed that down and primed…
On with some base coat, the same colour as the wheels.
A while back I bought myself a mini paint gun for small paint items.
Perfect for use with my mini compressor.
And this was a good opportunity to test it out. A nice coat of lacquer.
Some more work on the slam panel.
And on with some primer.
I did want to paint it in colour, but need to take the wings off to do that and because the garage is so narrow, I can’t open the doors to get at some of the bolts, so it’ll have to wait till the car is back on the ground.
I’ve started to clean up the front suspension, when I did the rears, I just dropped then in the liquid, but it took an age to derust, so this time I have decided to grind most of the crap off first.
Removing the bushes, it’s considerably easier removing poly bushes rather than the OEM’s.
Half way there with the upper mounts.
And the lower arms.
I did finish them off but forgot to take a picture.
Finally I decided to make my own power steering cooler, just a bent aluminium pipe basically.
More later.
