id say that would get you 250bhp im sure the Lude gods will correct any mistakes of mine lol
any more than 250bhp and you will need uprated fuel injectors, cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers, arp studs, much better clutch blah blah large amounts of cash!!
How much of this applies to me as some of the stuff you added I think I already have in my standard engine. Thanks for the list, it's a great help as a starting point. When I find a part I need I'll start a list in my first post as a list to work off.

If you've got a Type-S then you've already got the higher comp pistons and the cams. Your head also has a very mild factory port and polish. Everything else will be new if you haven't already got it.

Do you think it would be worth replacing them for new ones? After all, mine are 17 years old and covered nearly 90k.

As would the second hand ones you'd buy to replace them ;-) Else look into Mahles and Skunk2 :)

Ahem 236 thanks :D

I've got
lightened xtd flywheel
pas removed
ac removed
balance belt removed
ebay induction kit
ebay manifold custom ported and 2.5 collector
Custom fitted evo4 hks exhaust 2.5'-3'
carbon canister removed
Robs ecu chip
Ported tb and inlet mani, blanked off unwanted take offs

That's the only parts making my power but also a Mfactory lower final drive which can effect the readings one way or another?
My engines always made great power and I don't know why, I don't look after it and it's sat around for months doin nothing every year until a track day.
236bhp and 170ft/lb stock

Replacing what, the cams or the pistons?

Pistons shouldn't really wear tbh (not in any way that makes a performance difference anyway, unless they're properly shagged) it's the rings that wear and you'd replace them anyway during an overhaul.

What did you do to this? Sounds intriguing? Was it opening up the inlet ports on the mani to match the head ports exactly, or something more?

The pipes don't match the flanges so yeah opened them all out and loads of tig welding later it's got nice smooth ports all matching and a 2.5" collector added. It took a lot of work, I won't be doin another lol
