Whats a type s in good condition worth nowadays?
Hi guys, so Im still holding onto my lude but the crunch time is coming. The big question is how much, on a good day, is a type s worth now? Its in great condition with a multitude of gentle mods.
I have not seen one come up for sale for a while on ebay so i dont know how buoyant or deflated the market is for them. Rarety sounds good but you need a buyer.....
Last i looked a great one was 4800, a decent one was 3800 and a bit of a dog was around 2500 going down. Can you give me an idea of a decent price?
Iv been sluming it in a toyota for the last two years and i have no weather vane to guide me. Is it worth selling? Or keeping and driving? Less than 3500 and its keep to be honest. Other alternative is sell and buy a motorbike (work of the devil) to save on fuel. My weekly bill is silly in the 4x4.
Any help much appreciated.

Life's normal conundrum something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it (and of course what someone is prepare to sell it for).
I don't know your car but assuming it is rust free and in good condition, combined with the exchange rate pound/yen making imports even more expensive you have to say 5-6k.
I appreciate it is a select niche that would buy it though. These cars will ink up really to yo when they are 25 years old and you can export to the USA. The yanks love preludes, especially jdm ones.
My post might be biased though as I own one and seeing them go cheap is heartbreaking!

Hello,
I would the keep the price up, these cars are rare and to the right buyer it will be worth every penny. Plus, every buyer always tries to negotiate on price.
As Craig_85 said, given the exchange rate it would cost at least £5-6K to even import a decent one now so anything in that price bracket or slightly under is good value for a good cared for example in the U.K.
