Re: Sol-ludes new BB4
I'm assuming the last set of photos didnt work. Seems to be a recurring issue with imgur via phone.
Let's try this
Also updated the profile update guys.

It's a massive improvement under there compared to what was before.
I've never seen the front fixing successfully repaired once split, unfortunately. However, it's not the front fixing that causes it to sag, it's lack of support from the rear.
The bumper bar across the back needs bending up a bit as well as the supports that come down from the boot floor and attach to the bottom rear lip of the bumper.

Re: Sol-ludes new BB4
Yeah quite awful was happy on how it turned out even if it was just a bodge.
Yeah that was just a broken section that I done my best to sort. The bar did get bent (even with the huge hole in it) but the plastic that sits on the bar is broken at each side. Was contemplating trying to put a bracket inside somehow...will do what I can.

Re: Sol-ludes new BB4 - new honkers, egr clean
So before I get bogged down with other folks motors I thought I would attack some of the bits that were annoying me.
The horns (horn) were as Lucas put it like farting into an irn bru can. so I picked up a couple of 139db horns from ebay and done wee bit of painting and installation.
I realised I put the wrong base coat hence the darker colour.
Egr cleaned up somewhat.
Some shots of her. Also I removed the stupid LED lights that were on it.

Re: Sol-ludes new BB4
Sorry folks just reposting the images from the recent posts. Got lost in the server move.
So Stefan's friend made my car look great at the Scottish meet but it was in a fair state unfortunately so I decided to give the cars a good going over whilst I had a decent day.
Also as Drax had mentioned the lights in these are questionable come winter. Now I know HID conversion kits are illegal without the required extras so had a look at LED's now these are white and have no blue tinge so as far as im concerned completely legal and should pass an MOT.
Finally also got the side lights in

Sol-ludes new BB4
Welllll erm I went and did a thing
Im still not sure I have accepted it but I had to make a bit of a call on the lude. As you all know I have the BB1 (long terms Type R powered project) and I hadn't even looked at it this year bar to pinch the ECU for the spoon chip whilst I was running it.
Also with myself and fiancé being tall and the wee man already half the height of me (not even 3 yet) it was always a bit of a squeeze getting in the lude.
The winter runner I bought blew a head and radiator and refuse to fix the bloomin thing so currently breaking that.
Anyway long story short I decided to sell the lude (sure a few of you seen it on FB) I posted on Monday and she was away Tues morning so yes I am sad to see her go but it needed to be done. A fella by the name of Marek in Perth took her after he sold his last one he does intend on fixing the arches and I hope he does I just couldn't justify keeping both at the moment especially as the BB1 hasn't been touched.
Hope he is either on here or joins. Whilst he was at the house viewing we locked the keys in it whilst running and with the spare in the car. Also the blooming oil cooler O ring decided to go at the same time. Typical when trying to sell haha
