Just to reiterate, this isn't Asda/MaccyD's etc, this was the Mrs and I's last break before the baby is due, we decided to have a few days in Bath, and picked this really nice B+B, partly because it has it's own 10 odd space car park. I brought the lude because that's the whole point of having a car you like eh, to drive it.
Just a numpty, pure and simple.

i had my passenger door caved in about 4 years ago - just getting round to changing it over now - make sure when you get a new door that you get the right loom in yours as they look almost impossible to change over

changing the lock barrel over looks simple tho

Changing the loom over from one door to another isn't that difficult really. Just fiddly getting all the clips undone.

Did that job on the JDM when I put some new the panels on that. Unclip the rubber boot from the A pillar and gently pull the loom up out of the pillar. The plugs for it will appear and you can jiggle them out the hole in the pillar and unplug them.

It's then much easier to swap the looms when the door is off the car, on the deck next to the new door than to try and do it on the car, tbh.
Most of the clips you can get a pair of pliers on the back of the clip to squeeze the 2 prongs together and then pull them off the panel still attached to the loom. The cable tie ones inside the bottom of the door are a PITA though. Have to find a way to open the cable tie (assuming you want to re-use it) by forcing something like a watchmakers screwdriver in from the back to open up the tooth so you can then slide the tie open.
