H style edging trim?

Post by Mudgey » Thu Apr 18, 2013 3:07 pm

Hey guys, I am after some H style edging trim to fit my air con delete panel in place on the firewall, anybody know where I can get some trim that will be flexible enough for this?

Thanks!

Well I am not sure of the exact name, but if you cut it and looked at the profile it would have a 'H' shape. I am stuck, i've emailed a few manufacturers of edging trim and none have it nor know where to get it!?! argh..

Anybody got any ideas? I can't leave my air con hole open on the bulkhead!!

Can you get two mating profiles made up and sandwich either side of the hole?

What size do you need?
(thickness of panels it needs to accommodate and total length to go round the edge)

I've got some black pvc trim in the shed somewhere that I think is H profile. Not sure on the sizes though, 'cause it's ages since I've seen it. I'll see if I can dig it out.

Just checked, it's not H profile, sorry. :(
If you let me know the profile you want though, I'll see if the place I used to work has anything that will suit. We definitely had a few H profile sections there for trimming purposes.

Otherwise, this is the company we used to use to supply a lot of that kind of stuff; http://www.capitalrubber.co.uk
Absolutely crap website, absolutely brilliant company. They can do any section in all sort of kinds of material and they're also 'kin cheap.
They wouldn't do a run of stuff for the small amount you want, but might have some left over stock that would suit?

Thanks for your help guys! I have emailed that company wurlycorner, hopefully they will come back with some good news! I'll probably buy a roll of it as I imagine there would be a few people who want to blank off their air con hole on their bulkhead!
