Hi guys new to this forum and the ludes. I have a couple of questions first is my lude started life in Japan as a 2l since being imported its had a 2.2l installed. I am looking at modding this so I am happy to spend money on it. I was going to do injectors intake and exhaust and a new ecu p28 hondata system but I have read about different figments ECT. Also is there anyone that can tune these round Cambridgeshire, I have searched and searched and searched but I can't find anyone that specialises in Honda/ludes.
Sorry for my noobishness
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Welcome,
If it's the fitment you want carrying out, jozefsan runs 4speed in Brandon and knows ludes very well. Don't think ECU tuning is something he has the gear for though?
There's i-tuned in Ipswich, but some forum members (here and other forums) have had some VERY bad experiences there so you'd be best advised to avoid..?

If you want tuning, it's worth the drive to Performance Autoworks in Gloucester;

Thanks for the replies I know my way around a civic but new to the ludes. Unfortunately brakes are standard (crap) it's 2.2 vtec. I planned on buying all the tuning parts then upgrading the brakes before the actual tune. So I know what sort of price I'm looking at for doing everything. Will check the one out in Gloucester buddy

For an induction kit, £150 plus for a decent one (AEM or BMC), For an intake manifold £100 plus for an ATR one (Which needs a few minor mods) or more for a Skunk2 job (Which is based on the ATR one). There is little to no difference between the performance they provide, but the Skunk2 is a direct bolt on. There's no real point in uprating the injectors unless you start looking at cams as well, then there's lots of options there. For exhaust manifolds, look at Mugen or Fujitsubo (although both rare) or go custom (Check out Solid Fabrications). Go decat and then a 2.25"-2.5" catback depending on your build, or even a 2.75"-3.0" if you end up going for big hp's.
Lots of info on this site, and lots of knowledgeable folks on here too, so if you need to know anything more specific just ask

if the brakes are crappy mate then i'd suggest the accord type-r 2-pot caliper conversion, combined with re-drilled EP3 300mm front brake discs. makes a dramatic braking improvement.Rikmister wrote:Thanks for the replies I know my way around a civic but new to the ludes. as for tuning I've heard nothing but good things about Performance AutoWorks...but I used Advanced Motorsport & Engineering in Silverstone, Northampton. Just round the corner from the Grand Prix track. Dan is fantastic and there isn't an ECU he can't tune! Plus he's a Honda nut himself so you get a bit of extra special attention

great prices aswell, did a full map, tune, and general setup including full cold start tuning on my Apexi Power FC. did it over 3 days and only cost £250
