:?
WTF was going on there?
:suicide:

(But on a serious note... I've always wondered, surely tyre stretch compromises the handling? So if you have to fit stretched tyres to achieve the clearance, that would negate any point of going that big for track days anyway? Or have I got that wrong?)

And good point, but I didn't mention any tyre stretching.

Honestly your completely daydreaming.
FOr a track setup its far from ideal. Offset will effect the scrub radius far too much and cause hop and boucyness. If thats a word.
Also you will have to stretch a 205/40 tyre to get it to work.
I know 17x9 et 30 work well with a 215/45/17 and ALOT of arch rolling and a pull.
The wheel i currently have are 17x8 et 35 front and 17x7.5 et 43 rear with a 15mm spacers. But i may sell and get the wheels i have always wanted.

I'm running 8x17 ET ~~38 on the front and 9x17 ET~~~33 maybe les on the back - I'm not sure exactly what offet I'm running because I build my wheels from a few others sets, mixing lips and barells.

All wheels have 205/40, on the front little, nearly no strech, on the back masive srech.

Car is lowered low, really low, can not tel how low compare to the standart suspension, buy I would say sump is 3' from the floor.

Front wheels are still in the arches - they are not sticking out, rear one are in the same line like rear arches.

Im gona order a spacers to push wheels little bit out - front 15 - 17mm so I will get ET~~20 and put some smaller tyres to have more strech 195/40, and about 15mm spacers on the back so I would get ET~~15-16

And I would get a car lowet about 10-15mm on the front and 20-25 on the back

About 4th gen - 4th gens arches are much wider than 5th gens, that for sure, know people who have had 4th gen and than upgrade their car for 5th gen and fit the same set of wheels - wheels sticking out.

On polish forum is a bloke who lowered his 4th gen the same level how I did my, he running 9x17 ET 25 and As far I remember he put some some pacers 10mm on the front and 20 o the back to have wheels in the same line like his arches

Hope this help ;)
p.s.

I thing it is my longest post on this forum (except group buy):D :D:D
ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

Thanks for your thoughts guys, and appreciate the lengthy post from you cebul, I know wheels and fitment is your thing!

Right, not getting them. Honestly, don't need them amongst everything else on the lude and point well made about track use with the sizing too Scott.

Wheels in question are Ex-WTCC Rays wheels. Look like my old OZ Super T's (to a point):

Seen about 3 sets the same crop up over the last year or two. 8)

Fair enough, there is a taste to that style, not for everyone. For example I think Cheryl Coles new tatt looks good. :?
