Looking good bud. Your date for mine is a little hopeful isn't it?

I went and bit the bullet on a filter relocation and oil cooler kit, figured at 9psi I might need it, especially for track days. You've got me worried now as I had leaking problems from a basic sandwich plate to add my sensors for quite a while. Like you I don't want to loose any oil I've forked out for. How did you sort it in the end? Just redid it tighter? Throw in some liquid gasket?
I have some AN wrenches, but appreciate I have a little more room to work with - especially just the block sitting there with nothing attached to it currently.
Can you do me a favour and post a pic of your inline Mocal stat setup? I've just ordered one and I'm debating how to attach the lines, loose with clamps or get the proper AN to hardline adaptors (more £££).

I have ditched the in line thermostat. I actually havnt even opened it yet.
I am currently literally only running this Clicky and a hamp oil filter. No lines.
I cant say its not leaking yet since i havnt built up oil pressure yet. But it has a 27mm adater and i really tightened it with a wrench and then the oil filter ontop.
When the car is propperly tunned and running i will monitor my oil temps during various driving and report back.
If it turns out i need one i think i will opt for the Mishimoto thermostatic sandwich plate to replace my sandwich plate and tighten the an fittings before i put the sandwich plate on the car.
Hand tightening everything bar the oil filter isnt enough IMO.
But remember my oil relocation kits is ebay special. The gaskets were thin and the metal very lightweight. I tried to price up a complete mocal setup but i canot get my head around the remote filter specifics since there are so many.
Simply learn from my mistakes. DONT GO CHEAP!!!!!! Tighten everything with tools not hands. Thick oil gaskets are a must. The least amount of fittings possible.
I gave my throttle a little blip yesterday since it revs fine just wont idle fine. Oww the charger kissed my ears.

I was told that "an" fittings can be tightened by hand and be secure. Well they cant and they cant be tightened with tools on the car.
Power wise id be expecting 275bhp at the fly at least and maybe 220-230lbft of torquidge. Wheel power id be happy with 230bhp and 190torqes.
My Type S was quicker than my dad e46 330ci with its 230bhp and 220lbft. But i had to be in VTEC constantly of course. Out of gear i was of course raped.
