5 stud top hats?

Yes :!: your S-spec would have came with a JDM strut brace as standard if you have the extra 2 studs ;)
So I shud be able to just remove them then?

Not the extra studs no. You could replace the whole top hats with a pair with 3 studs, or get happy with an angle grinder

Isn't drilling extra (matching) holes on the strut brace brackets an option?

This is when you should have said it's an S-Spec and all would have become clear straight away ;-)
