The engine oil cooler, or power steering cooler?

For the engine oil cooler:
There are aftermarket sandwich plates, a few have fitted them I think :?

Bear in mind, the oil cooler actually starts off as a heater, to warm the oil up more quickly from cold. The coolant heats much, much more quickly than the oil does and it transfers this heat into the oil. If you remove the oil cooler, your oil will take longer to warm, so it will remain thick for longer, offering less protection to the engine.

well I didn't know about it.
What options I have if I must replace one I have but don't wanna spend a fortune for new one. Are there any aftermarket ones?

Personally I would leave it well alone. If your one is broken I would replace it. As said it has a dual role and if you did delete it you would have to blank off the coolant lines and also figure out a way to make the oil filter or sandwich plate sit properly on the block.

One of shiternet pages sais $273 for new one.

There will be external proper oil cooler with (or not) filter relocation, but like You guys said it will do only cooling and not heating. So there will be a sandwich plate and filter installation wouldn't be an issue.

This is why I don't wanna use the old one. It's the connector puled of the engine block for water return. I don't expect oil cooler looks any better or do any job atm

I will pull the cooler off my old H22a2 if you want it. What bits do you need? The cooler plate and the coolant hoses?

:?
Yep, that's a little bit clogged up - so like you say, the oil cooler itself probably wouldn't be doing much as it currently stands!

Thanks for an offer Merlin but if there is no any known aftermarket coolers I buy one from honda. I'm looking rather for new parts for my turbo built
