Well take some heart - my old housemate had an Xr3 that used more oil than that. It wasn't doing the usual burning due to knackered valve stem seals, or leaking because of knackered gaskets though - it was blowing it out of the seals because the piston rings were so shagged the block was pressurising. He had to cut a slot in the oil filler cap to let it breath enough that it was driveable :lol:

omg thats bad!!! makes mine sounds quite healthy :L

Just a quick update, the leaks getting worse, its dropping on the manifold now so when it drops on it burns off and creates a fairly big cloud of smoke :/ :lol: funny to see drivers behind backing way off when it happens though.

Been to cpa and camberleys and they cant order me a new gasket as none of their suppliers make them..... they said i have to order one from Honda but I've found this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bottom-end-co ... 53edbb325b

It comes with other oil seals and o rings, i have no idea what their for, could anyone tell me? or if i'd need them but i may aswell get that if i cant from any where else.

That just means i cant drive her... again :cry: until its done.. oh i love cars :lol:

That looks like it's got absolutely everything for the bottom end; main crank seals (both ends) timing belt cover bottom seals, crank seal housing gasket, plus various o-rings for other bits it's not really possible to suss without seeing the engine or a manual, probably oil pickup pipe and bits like that...

Looks like a good price tbh and would give you spares for the future in case anything more went. Worth seeing what Thebusofwoe can turn up for you as genuine parts though?

Looks like I'm going to have to get the ebay one.

The OEM part has been discontinued so unfortunately Thebusofwoe couldn't help, thanks for trying though!! :)
Honda, Euros, CPA and Camberley's dont do them :L so ebay it is

Hopefully it fits as im booking it into a garage the day after the part arrives so it better!

No wonder Benny sealed it up, being so hard to find a part :(

@jjmartin349571

Sounds like you'd better grab one of these kits while you still can, too! :lol:

:? Incidentally, did you check rockauto for stock? They have access to impressive stocks for old cars and from what I can tell (without knowing the car exactly) it looks like they have a few options available, for only a few quid?
