i've wrapped plenty of manifolds with the cheap stuff and NEVER have i had any problems.

I use the 2" wide wrap, done nice and tight with wraps at the bottom.

once installed and cooked for the first time it works faultlessly..i can grab the manifold with no risk of getting fried.

£25 well spent.

i personally think it's more about the application rather than the product when it comes to this stuff.

I think ill go for the Titanium DEI, Buy my own stainless straps and buy the HT silicone coating to spray the manifold BEFORE i wrap it for extra corrosion protection.

might be prudent to protect the metal first but i'll be surprised if it doesn't cook off anything you put on there.

the last wrap i used was white and it's almost exactly the same colour as when i wrapped the manifold around 2yrs ago...it's stayed spotless!

i'm off to solid fabrications in a couple of months the get a custom manifold & downpipe to compliment the system Alan@Solid built for me a few months ago...and when the new manifold is fitted yet again i'll be using the cheap wrap

I was interested in a price for ceramic coating my new exhaust manifold please.

I was thinking CAM 4, but could you also include a CAM 3 price as well.

Also could you quote for the entire exhaust manifold, but then also give prices for just the top portion as well please. I've attached pictures so you can see where it separates.

And can you just clarify what colours are available for both CAM 3 and 4 finishes please.

Hi Nathan,

Thank you for the pictures. Each CAM level refers to a process stage/number of coatings required therefore to achieve CAM 3 – either externally coated with base coat and top coats or internally coated plus two top coats. Cost for this would be approximately £190+V.

Any colour in our range can be used as a top coat however not all coatings are best suited to an application. Usually Black Satin, Cermakrome, Grey Ice or Turbo Black/Blue are better suited to hotter exhausts.

So for one, I understood the principles between CAM1, CAM2, CAM3 & CAM4... Their website explains that, but they haven't specified whether that CAM3 price was for both the manifold & downpipe, or just the manifold on it's own. And then they haven't given me a CAM 4 price that I was mostly interested in at all!!!

Can't be bothered with them that's for sure, especially if the top coat colours they've recommended are only "better suited to hotter exhausts"... Hardly fills me with confidence
