Saw this last night too. I thought he'd typed one too many 9's, should be £795.
I looked at the pics and thought it was a nice, well kept example so figured it could demand a higher price...but not that much surely. Automatic as you guys say will put of 90% of potential buyers straight away.
Not sure who advised him, but would be good to get him on the forum as he clearly loved this car.

I had a reply from the guy (And he's blatantly had a few messages along the same lines
)...

As a lot of you know, I whole-heartedly agree with him. Still doesn't change the fact he'll be "hard-pushed" to sell it for that sadly, but it's good to hearHi many thanks for your interest you prelude enthusiast do put your motors down, we are MX5 Specialists our
guys always up the ante on there motors, think you guys need to look more positively at your motors.
Best regards.

Tosser!!
Surely even someone with an ounce of common sense could look at the car, year, condition and know the going rate. If not, do some research to get an idea of price.
I'm astounded that someone in the automotive field (be it MX5's) would put a price tag this high on a 3rd gen Prelude.
I want the guy that advised him to come see my 5th gen and appraise that.
Peter
