Yep, that's an SM.

Maserati V6 engine. Rare (and very valuable) and mega rare in rally spec like that.

Could do with another coat of creosote.

That's a 993 - the most sought after model of 911 by purists you know (turbo's or RS's rather than cabrio's, but that particular model anyway). Massively holds its value as a result!

Yep: part Goddess, part Merak. Woolly but quick steering and 'digital' brakes, if I remember rightly.
Some of the rally cars were weird.
