It's not a genuine Honda job. Just well made.

:lol; That's what I was saying I'll have to check. At the minute that's what I believe it is for. I just want to check to see whether it's compatible with A7 or A8 blocks. I don't think it will be in which case I could sell it on to you. I'll have a looksee when I get home ;-)

Ok, but I meant you could check whether the Honda part numbers for the oil pump on an A7 and A2 are the same...

Oh yes, that's what I'd do, but I'm doubting an A7/8 pump is the same as all the others, so if that is the case, what can I measure to tell which one I've got? I think it was for an H22a, but now I'm trying to recall I really can't remember

@Nucleustylzlude What size are the journals of that sleeved block you got from the same guy I got the oil pump from?

It was a H22A1 block from the states (Bensons sleeves) so it has the 50mm journals.

As far as I'm aware the oil pumps are the same between the H22A1 & A2, I thought they were the same blocks, not actually sure what the difference is between them. I know the H22A1s in the US produce slightly more power output.

I think its just a region code difference right? I mean even the H22A is the same except the components that go in it to make it higher compression = more power?

Interested to know if anyone has any other thoughts?
