I know, I'm Captain Slow

can't really hear any noise or roar from it yet as the ducting is just hanging in the resonator bay, plus my exhaust drowns most other noises out lol but when I properly finish the setup, it should have air going directly into it from the outside :geek:
Thebusofwoe wrote:What diameter and bend are those hoses??
the Samco or the ducting?

----------------
ive been doing some refurb on the Legend brake setup I bought a while back, looking muuuuuuch improved compared to the other untouched calipar..

they are two 45 degree bends at opposite angles with a metal pipe in the middle to join them together and jubilee clip down ;)

the diameter depends on the tb size you have, just measure the end of the tb and the inlet side of the CDA and buy the appropriate size. mine on the tb is a bit bigger than the standard tb size so the jubilee clip is really squishing it closed, but i will be having a bigger tb with the new engine so I needed to pre-plan for that :geek:

Re: Drax's R & T Lude *New Engine Build: block build begins

Post by Drax » Thu Oct 09, 2014 2:38 pm

right, finally either gathered the required bits to carry on or had back parts that needed to be modded to move forward, so here we have a manual tensioner kit

Image

the pistons (which had caused the massive delay in proceedings as 3 people let me down  ), but the wonderful man that is 106pete sorted them out for me 8-)
Image

arp studs
Image

mocal oil cooler (just need to purchase the ancillaries)
Image

and this jewel (again MASSIVE thanks to 106pete) is the atr inlet, machine cleaned and port matched to the 68mm throttle body, and also the injector ports opened so the RC 550 injectors can fit snug as a bug in a rug
Image
some people may notice the fuel rail as well.... :hurr: which is from a Mitsubishi Evo

oh and the completed legend calipars are set to go on soon
Image
keeping a look out for bargin front disks and maybe braided hoses, and then I have everything to swap all the pads, disks and front calipars at the same time.

last night I decided to get a bit dirty (nothing new there) before heading to bed with the missus .... so test sanded the bores on the spare block I have
Image

as mentioned here from PA
http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... 11960.html

and the end result I was pretty damn pleased with, hopefully its on the right track on what I need to do to the main block.... :scaredtoss:
