I was stung on ebay but going back 9 years ago now for a bumper on ebay. It was £120 and never turned up. I did reclaim most of it back though. But in a way, it was kind of a blessing in disguise, as it was this bumper:

I learned tonight that the Soarer parts I ordered in September won't turn up as the guy has gone bust! £100 down the pan!

Now on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, tonight I've spoken to another guy I'm having dealings with, and after briefly explaining to him about the situation I'm currently in and suggesting I now wish to pay via Paypal and I'll cover the fees (See, learning
) he instantly said he's happy just to send me the goods and for me to pay once I've received them!
We're not just talking a couple of quid either! So he's already partially restored my faith in there being more decent people out there than low lifes
