CD player removal? 5th Gen

Post by Merlin » Wed Mar 04, 2015 7:58 pm

I would like to get a double din stereo. How do you get the OEM stereo out? It is a Pioneer CD player. Do I need a set of release keys or something?

- Pull/Pry out the wood/carbon surround.
- Unscrew the 4 screws on each corner of the double din cage area
- Pull out stereo and oem mount and unplug as you pull
- unscrew the screw each side of the storage/radio and the rest youll figure out.

I have gone through a few stereos in my 5th Gen and not once have i used a cage. Always hard mounted it with m8 screws.
