V3trox's 5th gen Decat and coilovers

After years of umming and ah-ing I finally pulled my thumb out my arse and bought a lude. Omg I should have bought one years ago. Its hands down the best car I've ever driven. Might not be the most powerfull thing out there but damn does it put a smile on my face every time i drive it! Its ju5ta5 lude from this forum and his part in this cars story can be found here

Anyway heres a shoddy picture of it

First on my list of things that need to get done is the rusty arches. I knew full well whichever lude i buy, its going to need arch work.

I was originally hoping i would be able to get it sorted without buying new arches but im not sure now. Only the bodyshop can tell me and I wont be visiting them till next week.

I have also bought new front discs and pads because they are well warped. I was told they were a bit wobbly under braking but they are very warped so this will be the first thing i do this weekend.

Anyway, on to lighter news my first mod arrived today. I was hoping it might be my coilovers but its a start.

Nice buy :)

I don't normally like spark yellow ludes, but it's amazing what black alloys can do ;) 8)

I personally dont like the black wheels. Im gonna re furb them grey/anthracite.

Just been out trying to work out how to fit these damn wind deflectors...No idea. Plus the power windows in this lude are a bit. Gutless XD need to get the old silicone spray out i think.

Yes i believe it is the h22a8

Climair deflectors just flex and fit in under the seal apparently. You have to wind the window down first if you hadn't already guessed.

Also remove the doorcard and check the mounting points for the window winding mechanism, as one of my old 'Ludes had worn mounts resulting in excessive play and struggling windows. I removed the original rivets and replaced with some little nuts and bolts, aligned it, did them up and then perfect windows once again.

Got them in, The instructions made it look like you have to wedge them behind the rubber seal. Anyway they are on now.

I would get pics but i was too busy enjoying the rest of my prezies to myself. Its a good thing i dont drink or smoke. This car modding lark is expensive!

Expensive purchases straight off!

Personally I don't think grey wheels will suit a sparkle yellow lude. The black does work well, but your car your choice of course.

Glad you're pleased with your purchase. Sparkle Yellow FTW.
