Would it surprise you if I said that I've never once changed or checked the plugs on any of my ludes?

Not at all. It's a little beyond your capabilities isn't it?

:D

Just found spark plug seals for £4 each on H-Tune. The bloody sites slowed right up though, so it's taking an age to pay for them

Obviously, your problem is ghosts.

Quick update on this...

I've switched my plugs to brand new NGK Iridiums to no avail (unsurprisingly), and I've not bothered changing the MSD coil back to OEM, as having spoken to Rich at PAW it's fairly positively looking like it's the AEM EMS's inability to run a 3-wired IACV properly that's causing my issue.

Honestly, that man is amazing! I only emailed him about a price for fixing my oil leak and tuning. I briefly mentioned how the car also likes to drop the revs to "0" when slowing to a halt as well at the moment and that I'm looking into it, and he came back with...
With your A7 engine, I am assuming you have it’s matching intake manifold? If so, does it have it’s original 3 wire IACV or has it been converted to run a 2 wire? The AEM is much like the Hondata in that it can only properly control the 2 wire IACV so maybe that’s part of your issue there.
I had a look and sure enough there are 3 wires coming off of the ATR IACV, and it's obvious that the 3rd wire has been introduced to the loom (Rather crudely as well), although I do wonder where it runs to if the AEM isn't au fait with using it :? ...

There's not much info on the net about about it, but I've read enough now to know that this is a common issue and does require a conversion.

I very much doubt the ATR IACV can run off of just two of it's wires, so I'll need to make/get an adapter to run a regular H22a IACV (Which I'll have plenty of lol). Rosko racing do one (http://www.roskoracing.com/Euro_R_IACV_Adapter.html), and I've just messaged Spirit9 to see if they have any in stock and what price they are, otherwise I can always make one up as I already have the profile designed from when I had these made...

So you have the ATR IACV?

Sorry if this sounds patronising and "all in hindsight" but I thought it was common knowledge that you need to use a Prelude IACV? Or did you not realise that it was an ATR IACV? One thing that confuses me is how your loom has three wires? I am sure that 4th and 5th gen IACV's are the same?

Rich is a legend, or Ace Rimmer as I like to think of him.
