Re: Doug's Red 5th gen
Thanks for the comments guys still got along list of bits that need doing but it will be a long term project rather than a quick fix.
The manifold was on the car when I got it but I know it's an ebay special as it was my brother who fitted it
I changed the radiator today as I noticed it was a bit damp around the bottom while changing clutch Saturday, straight forward job took longer for the car to heat up to check the fans than it did to change over. One thing I did notice was that the radiator caps were not interchangeable between the rad I took out and the new 2nd hand 1 I put in which was out of my old prelude even low they were both 1998 models.
The next big job will be the cam belt and water pump. But before then I have set of k sport coilovers that need a clean up a set of motegi wheels I picked up for £10 quid in need of a refurb and a type S boot spoiler to go on. Not to mention the front and rear bumpers I have that need prep work before a mate paints them and the sunroof needs a new motor!!
So much to do and not enough time

Re: Doug's Red 5th gen
Not much of an update been a bit lazy really just enjoying taking it for a blast at weekends. done a massive 600miles since I got it. Visited a few local meets and took it to retro rides gathering in august I never see another prelude at any of them!
Japshow next weekend will be its last outing of the year before I stick it away for winter.
Jobs list for winter is getting longer by the day got the bits just no time with work and 2 kids lol but it's an on going project so I guess it will never be finished
1 motegi kit to fit
2 refurb wheels
3 type s spoiler to fit
4 coilovers
5 paint work needs sorting
6 get sunroof to work !!
7 hunt down a central locking control unit as mine is missing discovered this after 15 minutes of trying to programme key fob!!
How much of this gets done time will tell
Few pics

Re: Doug's Red 5th gen
Done few bits on the lude over the winter biggest 1 was it went for paint. With the addition of the motegi kit it has freshened up its appearance no end. I stripped the car down myself to save on costs and drove it to the paint shop looking more like it was off to the scrap yard.
I've also replaced the door seals, fitted new wheel arch liners replaced my worn leather steering wheel and put a front lip on. Need to get under and bolt that on as the tape lasted about a day! Still need to get the wheels refurbed hopefully be done before japfest.
Mot next month hopefully nothing major has gone wrong in the 830 miles I've driven it in the last year. Need to replace the front bottom ball joints as I managed to split the rubber boots when doing the clutch last year.
