Number 2 (photo number 2) is just a shorter version of (photo) number 1, so it picks up inside the engine bay while number 1 pics up outside.
It sounds like what we want is a combination of number 1 and 3. Have number 3, but extended to collect from below the engine bay with a section bit off number 1...

get some aluminium piping from ebay and extend the V2!wurlycorner wrote:Reason I ask, is because I have now picked up both and am not sure which one to stick on the BB4...
Then heatwrap the crap out of it

Sell the V1 for lots and lots of hard cash

Ok, I've had a few, so someone who knows can tell me to speak sense, but you know how those clever Czech two stroke engineers did all that sterling work in days of yore on getting exhaust pipe lengths/widths/shapes to produce the right harmonics (If that's the phrase) to enhance exhaust gas scavenging and boost 2 stroke performance so succesfully?
Well, presumably an air filter would stop that working on the intake side, but surely a big plenum fed by one or more filtered feeds might be arranged to have sufficient pressure to enable the intake lengths to be tuned to cyclically pressurise inlet feed in a similar way to boost swirl/mix/performance? Or should you not tune these factors anyway to best advantage?
Honestly that's not what the ziggy line pic looks like to me.
No? No? Beuller?

So many theories about the intake..
I think , just give it as much (cold as possible) air as possible .
There are even some kinda twisters available to create a vortex in the intake tubing.
The same as you can empty a bottle by swirling it so there is a twister inside. Don't think they will work as they only hinder the flow.
Idividual intake plenums or throttle bodies are seen on alot of high hp NA builds for a reason. Only problem with the prelude engine is they are on the wrong side and suck in hot air.

You're taking about "Acoustic Supercharging" or "Resonant Conditions". I'll let you Google it (if you so desire), rather than me drivel on about it.Doggo wrote:Well, presumably an air filter would stop that working on the intake side, but surely a big plenum fed by one or more filtered feeds might be arranged to have sufficient pressure to enable the intake lengths to be tuned to cyclically pressurise inlet feed in a similar way to boost swirl/mix/performance? ... Although I do have some waffle on it in my project thread...

That's exactly it! Quite nicely explained in that thread too.NafemanNathan wrote:You're taking about "Acoustic Supercharging" or "Resonant Conditions".
