1997 Black 5th Gen For Sale

Post by fifthgen_oldtimer » Wed Jun 24, 2015 10:26 pm

  Make / Model: Honda Prelude 2.2 VTi 4WS
Colour: Black
Date of Registration: 26/03/1997
Cylinder capacity: 2157 cc
MOT Expiry: 31/05/2016 (SIXTEEN)
Mileage: 148,750 miles

Condition: Good condition for age, a few minor chips to paintwork, a spot of rust over the nearside wheel arch and a small dent in the nearside front wing. Has been in the family since 2004 (father and son) and had three previous owners before us.

UK model with factory fitted Motegi body kit, no modifications.

All original equipment except radio and exhaust, which is a stainless system fitted by TOPGEAR St Albans. As regards the radio, the original one with the 6 CD changer in the boot finally died on me and I replaced it with a SONY radio / CD player. Wheels refurbished 3 years ago.

Been in use daily for the last few years (see odometer history from recent MOT below) and has never let me down - probably stating the obvious for a Prelude!

Have service history going back to 2001.

MOT advisories (tested 01/06/2015)
Anti-roll bar bushes deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement
Rear coil springs corroded

Odometer History:
01/06/2015: 148194
27/05/2014: 138222
28/05/2013: 132757
25/05/2012: 125248

Located in Dartford, Kent

Reluctantly selling because I need a vehicle with more people and load carrying capacity.

Looking for £1250

That is a beauty! Love the spoilerless look 8)

Question though?... What's the chassis code? I only ask as it's not got a rear wiper or washer jet and as far as I know that was only available on an import Si with the F22b engine.

You wot?! They felt it necessary to remove a wiper on a car destined to be driven in the UK?! :?

And why do I know more about JDM cars than I do UKDM?

Either way it looks so much cleaner without it 8)

Hi there, thanks for the comments.
Thought I might have had an import without knowing it for a moment there.
It's a BB8 chassis and an H2A5 engine, which is correct for a European 1997-1998 4WS model.
