Re: Sven's Prelude
Been busy today, I've made a ghetto lower grill that suits the honeycomb grill. I made it out of a rubber......thing to wipe you feet on. (Don't know the proper english word). Now I just have to paint it black. What do you guys think?

Re: Sven's Prelude
Just a quick update: This summer wasn't the best summer for my lude. Had a few problems with my car.
First, I bought a Type S cluster here on the forum. It worked well, but then I decided to be the honest guy and change the km's on the cluster to my cars kilometers. The cluster had 112000, my car had 119000. So I changed it and all went well until it reached 120000 km. The meter stopped running. Then I planned on switching the needles to my old cluster. (only for the speedo and gas. The temp and RPM I just switched over.)
So know i'm stuck with a cluster that doesn't tell how fast i'm driving or the gas in my tank. Luckily the little light starts glowing when i'm almost out of gas.
Then, at the same time I had the problem with my cluster, my car won't engage into Vtec.
And then the worst part is that, one week ago, I bumped against a parked car. My fault, because I wasn't thinking clearly. The car was parked on the street, an SUV was driving in front of me and started his manoeuvre passing the parked car. I also started my manoeuvre but then there was a bloke coming from the other direction. The SUV pulled his steering wheel and avoided the bloke, but I had to brake and I just slide and bumped against the parked car.
The damage is not that much, but I will have to replace the front bumper, the headlight, the indicator and the hood. Internal there is no damage (I think).
So now the hunt for those parts can start. And know I know the downside of owning a rare car. Because it's really hard to score these parts in Belgium.
I already found the indicators, thanks to gb-lude.
But the front light is hard to find, and correct me if I'm wrong, I can't install a light from a RHD lude with the direction of the light.
I'm also looking to get a CF hood, instead of the normal one. I'm looking for a Seibon one.
And for the front bumper, I hope to get one in my own color, cypress green pearl. But I already will be happy if I find just the bumper for a nice price.
But not all is bad. I replaced my standard steering wheel with an EP3 steering wheel. The grip is so much better. I found it really cheap, but it needs new leather.
Also installed the AEM V2 intake and removed the resonator. It's so nice when you drive normally you don't really hear it, but when you go pedal to the metal => Sploosh
The Ipad holder is also out and I put my OEM CF piece back in with the radio in place. I really missed that piece, because the dry carbon wrap looks like crap. Crapwrap
The rims are also still lying around, waiting to get wrapped by some rubber, but they will have to wait 6 months or so, at least when winter is over.
So that's about it. I'm gonna make a wanted topic too, so if you read this, and you think: "Damn this poor kid, I really must use my superpowers to help him get those parts!"Head over there and give me a shout.
Cheers
Sven.
