New Car Cover
My first bit of maintenace has started.
The car is due an oil and filter change and will be doing that next weekend.
While I was there, I decided to give the K&N cone filter a clean.
When I removed it, it was extremely dirty after covering approx 20K miles behind the front bumper.
As I was out of K&N element cleaner, I used G101 degreaser at a low concentration.
After several washes and rinses, the filter was clean and the water being rinsed was clear as day.
Using the K&N oil, I gave it a spray ensuring not to over oil the elemnet.
So Voila... one clean, freshly oiled K&N filter ready to be fit back in the wheel arch of the car.
As I'm planning on getting the car remapped, I just wanted to ensure the car was breathing as well as it should be.

CAR COVER
The paintwork on the Prelude is in very good condition, and when the car is not garaged and stored outside temporarily, I was looking for a 4 seasons car cover to keep the bodywork in its best possible condition.
In the end I went for a Storm Force Plus model to fit the prelude.

(Thank you to all who helped me with advice on car covers)
The plus model has an addititional underbody fastening and tensioned elasticated hem to securely fit under the skirts of the car.
The car cover comes in its own carry bag, and the quality of fixings and manufacture is absolutely fantastic. So Im a very happy bunny

So I gave the car a quick wash and gave it a trial fit. (Note the door mirrors arent in the recesses as the folding mirrors are engaged when the car is locked)
Overall, very happy with result.

@Dino, firstly may I say what a beautiful car you have, absolutely stunning. I did want to ask about your mudflaps as I think that body colour idea looks nice.
Are they painted with some kind of special paint so as not to crack or is it just the same paint as on the car?
Once again sir, fabulous car.

Re: Not My Prelude..Nafeman Says So :-(
@simonc Hi buddy, thanks for the comments about the car. Very happy with it indeed. With regards to the mudflaps, yes it is the honda colour Milano red (R81-1). Im not sure about any additives added to the paint, but as the mudflaps are flexible, I assume something has been added to make the paint a little more flexible also as the paint has not split/cracked or spidered. Sorry I cant be any more help than that.
