1993 2.2 Japspeed Manifold & Power Flow Back Box fit 5g?

Post by Lankysod07 » Thu Nov 26, 2015 12:53 pm

Seen a 1993 2.2 full exhaust system for sale with Japspeed Manifold and power flow back box, I mainly only want the manifold and downpipe but wondered if it would fit a 5g would it all be the same kit, with the engine being a h22?

I believe it would with some minor tweaking to one of the rear hangers.

So long as you do not mix and match, a whole 4G exhaust system (manifold all the way to back box) will fit a 5th gen as there is no other fitment issue other than what ek9sid said.

Is it definitely from a VTEC lude?

If it is the manifold and downpipe will fit yours, but you might have to play with cat/decat lengths to get the catback to fit. The hangers will need chopping and relocating as well.

Manifold and downpipe are the same between 4g's and h22A5 5g's, but H22A8 5g's have different length downpipes.
Right, @Donald? (resident 5g exhaust expert...)

A8 = oddball off the exhausts. Different downpipe length, different cat length. Sure the catback size is the same tho. Catback size is based on @donald having no fitment issues swapping a 4g catback onto his A8 front setup.

Basically if you've got an A8 and want a decent mani/downpipe your swapping mani/downpipe/cat to ukdm length and not A8 length. Only thing with that is the standard catback will be holding you back so your just as well swapping the lot.

Managed to find a full exhaust setup in Newbury, reading that had a Japspeed manifold and downpipe, then a Powerflow back box with welded midsection all the way to the cat from a 4th gen.

I'm keeping the manifold and downpipe to bolt straight onto my 5th gen, but I now have a Power flow exhaust system up for sale for a 4th gen in awesome condition!

Ill make a parts for sale thread later on this evening with pics ;)
