Bits I do know Nits is the JDM has aircon, a rear wiper and I think the exterior trim has a chrome insert (Not sure if that's a face-lift thing though). Think it has different interior fabric as well.

yeah there are not that many differences i think they were all made in Jdm land at that point anyway

Also the JDM's B20a wasn't as powerful as the UK's B20a7.

I say this because I stumbled across a 3G (which I'm going to see tomorrow :scaredtoss: :scaredtoss: ;) ) but not sure if it's JDM or not.

On the Log book, it says its been registered here in 2002 but it doesn't have no folding mirror, no climate control (but still has AC) and it doesn't have a rear wiper.. :? :? Speedo reads in KMH too. :?

I've just been checking some import 3G from Japan and some of them don't have climate control or wiper :?: So maybe it was an option even for the JDM Preludes.

What's the best way to tell if it's genuinely imported from Japan.. :idea:

Jap writing on stickers in door jams, under bonnets, fuse boxes etc.
I believe also the labels on seat belts.
If the fog light looks aftermarket, then it's likely JDM

Yep climate control and power fold mirrors were not standard on jdm ludes, they were options or only on top spec cars.

I expect the vin will be a chassis number, rather than a vin if it's an import (same as for 4gs). So I.e. a shorter length number, miss g the JHM etc off the start.

Nits, if you're thinking of running a 3g as a daily, be aware that service parts (suspension bushes/joints etc) are becoming very difficult to get hold of. Even some filters are a pita.
