4g/5g shifters interchangeable?

Post by chrismc » Fri Jul 29, 2016 10:34 am

Can anyone shed some light as to whether the H22 gear lever/shifter boxes are interchangeable from 4g to 5g?

The 4g has a metal base plate & guts whereas the 5g uses a yellows-acrylic material- same as my H22 ATR. (Looks identical!)

One of my biggest bug-bears on the Accord is the free play around the neutral position. Having investigated I put this down to wear in the acrylic.

It has got me thinking whether I could retro-fit a 4g shifter box into the Accord. It will use the same cable setup of course & mounting bolts look to be in the same place....

Any help appreciated!

It's a small price to pay after you buy a new CNC laser cutter for £2.5m out of your own pocket.
