So i have some bits back from paint
Jdm bumper without hole cut for foglight ww rear lip and ww skirts


mugen rear spoiler


I was hoping to complete it with a mugen front bumper with a dc2 lip so it would look like this


but it didnt go to plan It arrived pretty much like this from the courier



I cant blame them really upon examining it it was held together with filler fibreglass and because fibreglass wont stick to plastic no more nails!!. The bumper is in several pieces held together with the aforementioned ingredients.
I at first thought of plastic welding but i am not sure its even worth the attempt now the work to remove all the filler just to get to the plastic would be gruelling and there is no guarentee it would end up the right shape.
so now i either have to take it on the chin and buy another mugen bumper or just use a standard bumper with a lip.

It's worth putting a claim in mate might get something back and isn't too much hassle. I sent a focus st inter cooler through Dhl and they badly damaged it got 250 off Dhl and the guy sent it back and I got it repaired for 50 sold it again for 400

Keep the bumper. Shame I'm not closer as I'd fix it. Plastic weld the back. SMC carbon fibre filler over it.
Plastic wel the front. Sand back, fill and shape.

Just as well I suppos though, the Mugen raft is getting a little crowded

pictures flatter it a bit ratty its in more than one piece i have just placed it so it looks how it arrived probably doesnt look that bad lol but once you start digging whats left of the repair out it starts getting scary i would appreciatte any help though if you still reckon it is fixable?

No matter how fragile it was, it shouldn't have arrived like that! It's not like it just broke in one place and they thought Oops, better be a bit more careful. How well was it packaged?

the problem with it nathan is it was broken into pieces then repaired with glassfibre on the back and filler on the front the plastic was still in pieces between the sandwich it didnt stand a chance really and its not the couriers fault i cant blame them it would be like wrapping a 6ft bone china hollow statuette in a little bubble wrap and sending it through the post.
the only way it would have survived is if it was in a reinforced box it was so fragile
