Well that was an awesome weekend, great to see everybody and meet a few new folks as well. Thanks to @lewd lude lover and Nicola for being such great hosts and @honda-hardy for cooking bacon rolls in the morning!
Was a real eye-opener at the reputable dyno garage to see that despite Honda's claims of 185, 197 and 220bhp for most VTEC Preludes it turns out 90% of them are exactly 177bhp...

Thanks also to @Vtecmec and @A1ex for some helpful engine rebuild and suspension tips.

Great crowd and I'm pleased newbie's felt welcome and it was fantastic to meet you all.
I'm gonna comment on some of the 'boring stuff' where there were sensible points/changes that had gone on in the background but made a big difference - parking layout and campsite area worked much better this year.
Way better area for camping generally than the orchard I'd say - much more level and forgiving ground plus no cow jobby
Also a big plus on the fridge capacity

Here goes, thanks James and Nicola for the amazing hospitality, again as usual. Sorry that i was not as constructive in the setting up and putting away as I have been in previous years.
Also as mentioned, the pitch for the tents was so much better than in the orchard, although I did spy one very lonely tent in the orchard. Who was that?
The dyno, although a complete flop for some, can’t be blamed on anyone except spam himself..
I put my car on the roller first, then he strapped it down and set off with the test.
Test 1. Result 188 bhp.
I then explained that he could actually give it beans, these cars happily rev to 8.5k unlike the mini engines he is used too.
Test 2, omfg. He almost killed us all. Taking the car to the red line the car almost jumped off the rollers... he slammed on the brakes and the car lurched and jumped and almost shat its suspension across the workshop leaving half my tyre on the roller and atomising the other half in a ploom of noxious smoke.
So it was concluded that the car was lifting to almost a critical point of no return as the rotating wheel almost peeked itself to the top of the roller and out of the dyno altogether.
Test 3. We decided that it would be a better bet to place blocks of wood on to the shock towers and fit a strap over the car to help keep the car to the dyno. But this was not enough in my opinion so got him to tighten it further. So my result. 211.2 bhp.
Then on to other cars. Most giving the same result, I think it was due to the cars lifting up and loosing drive to the rear roller of the dyno set. This rear roller happens to be the one that takes and measured the power.
A few others went on with poor results; greenys lude kept tripping the system so it needed calibrating every time.
So i said to spumspeed, that I could put mine on again to confirm his dyno was ok just needed to strap the cars down tighter than he had been, but he declined. I offered on many occasions and he declined.
Next was the s2000, this only measured 201 bhp after he drove it into the jack and fire extinguisher, so I asked spam if we could re-test his car without the air box fitted, with this spumspeed then pressed the clamp to release the strap saying "sorry mate... test is finished!!" what a complete tool.
My mate travelled 60 miles to this dyno and was absolutely shocked at how someone could even run a business in this day and age like it. He didn’t go on. Not surprising really.
On to the party, such a shame the fancy dress turnout was low as Nicola promised to put on her air hostess outfit. She claimed Donald’s and Phil’s shorts didn’t count, nor did Gary’s onesie.
Chicken.
The camp fire was great too, Shane, Gary and Iain keeping even the moon awake. Lol.
Breakfast was fantastic even if I do say so myself, bacon and omelette rolls. Yum.
And after a very unsuccessful nitro car starting mission, I finally had the best run in duration terms. Also got it going again at home to give the dog a good run as she goes absolutely skatty trying to bite the tyres.
