I prefer sprayed to powercoat. But powerdercoating is much cheaper.

I don't agree it's more durable. It's a tougher finish but extremely brittle and flakes easily. Paint is softer but sticks better.

Paint is more forgiving in the long run From my experience.

However I think the best overall is a painted base coat with a powdercoated lacquer works best.

Paint is wet and layered.
powdercoat is an electro staticly applied coloured plastic powder and gets baked at extremely high temps where us remounds and forms a tough plasticy finish. The finish can be extremely vivid.
