Can i bump this thread with the question, does anyone know the difference between the A2 p13 and the P5P head?? I got the Type S motor from Sam and just wondering if its worth my while spending the money on that head??

the type S head has some mild work done to the head and different valve angles iirc plus it has different type of lost motion assembly better all round head

There will be no difference apart from the casting for the ATR PDE intake manifold. Both heads are from red top 11:1 comp engines.

So do I take this to mean that if you're going with an ATR (or skunk 2) manifold, the PDE head would be better than a P5P?
(unless you're up for manually attacking the ports on a P5P head to match, of course)

It makes no real difference. The hassle of changing over to the PDE head is much more than it is to grind off part of the flange on the ATR IM. Plus you don't really need to grind of that material anyway as you can use a Hondata IM gasket that spaces it out more.

As previously said the P5m seems to come on the S-SPEC only, all other preludes use the P13 head. Only its internal change depending on what engine it is from.
